For those who love Stipa gigantea but don’t have the space for it, ‘Little Giant’ is the perfect plant. Like it’s larger cousin,a gorgeous and refined ornamental grass forming clumps of evergreen leaves, to only 18 inches tall by 2 feet wide, with 3 to 4 foot spikes of golden flowers standing above the foliage in summer lasting into winter. A handsome plant for the sunny, well-drained garden needing only occasional summer water once established. Tucks in amongst other plants easily. Excellent for adding frothy texture to meadow plantings. Frost hardy to 0F. USDA zone 7.
