Picea pungens ‘Montgomery,’ commonly known as Montgomery Blue Spruce, is a dwarf cultivar of the Colorado Blue Spruce. The needles are a striking blue to blue-green, providing year-round visual interest. This slow-growing shrub typically reaches a height of 3-5 ft and a spread of about 4-6 ft over 10 years. It has a dense, compact, and broadly conical to rounded habit. Ideal as a specimen plant, in rock gardens, or as part of a mixed border, its striking blue color makes it a focal point in any garden.
