An old variety of red laceleaf maple that has proven its ability to maintain its dark purple red color even in the hot humid summers typical of the Eastern U.S. Extremely vigorous for a laceleaf cultivar with long cascaing branches and its leaves are coarsely dissected compared with other selections.
