‘Livy’ is a newer dwarf red Japanese maple selection from Canada. The habit is upright and dense, almost like a purple-maroon colored “Mikawa-type”. During the summer, a translucent-like emerald green comes into the leaf that makes ‘Livy’ glow. ‘Livy’ is expected to reach 5-6 ft in height and width in 10 years. Fall color on ‘Livy’ is a bright red.
